With Thanksgiving just around the corner, I thought I would share one of the most iconic American dishes - glazed carrots. However, I thought I should add a small twist to this simple dish: Cayenne Pepper!
Sweet and Spicy. The perfect combination. My take on maple glazed carrots only requires 4 ingredients and hits every sensation on the tongue.
2 lb carrots, julienned
1/4 cup maple syrup
1 tsp cayenne pepper
3 tbsp butter
Melt the butter over medium-low heat and add in the carrots once the butter starts to foam.
Cook for 8-10 minutes or until carrots are tender. Remove from heat and add maple syrup and cayenne pepper.
