In England and India, tea is more than a beverage. It is a ceremony that has to occur at 8 in the morning and 4 in the afternoon, consisting of cookies, biscuits, or crackers. It consists of dunking the cracker/cookie into the cha for just the right amount of time, just before it dissolves, but just after it is soggy and soft.
I can guarantee you that for most of India follows this ceremony daily, and this may be a controversial recipe, but I can guarantee you that this will be the best black tea you have ever had.
Recipe:
1 1/2 tsp black tea leaves, ground
1/4 cup milk
1 cup water
1 pod of cardamom, crushed
Bring the water and tea leaves to a boil. Once boiling, add milk and cardamom.
Bring to a boil again, and let boil for 1 minute. Let the tea sit for 2 minutes - this will develop the aroma in the cardamom.
Strain the tea and optionally present in a teapot.
Enjoy!
